Freedom Reins Mission: Freedom Reins exists to create opportunities for individuals with disabilities to interact with therapy horses using EAAT (Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies) so they encounter growth and healing.

Team: 6-8 people, all ages (not recommended for individuals with allergies or those who have difficulty walking on uneven ground)

Serving Task: Our team will be divided into two groups.  Each group will spend one hour painting fences/landscaping and another hour side-walking for a student lesson.  

Ongoing Opportunities to Serve: Volunteers are always appreciated to assist with barn chores, moving hay, yard care, and side walking with students.  

Prayer Support: Please join Freedom Reins staff in praying for 

1) students to experience physical healing & grow in confidence

2) staff and volunteer growth

3) increased financial resource 

NECF Mission: Northeast Community Fund, a large social service organization of the community for the community, works to assist needy families in our community with the resources available in a caring and Christ-like manner to move people out of poverty.

Team: 10-14 people, all ages able to lift and move both small and heavy boxes.

Serving Task: Our team will be helping to clean and organize a section of the food warehouse.

Ongoing Opportunities to Serve: Volunteer opportunities at Northeast include the following: 

1) assisting in the food pantry line

2) organizing donated clothing/household items

3) welcoming clients as volunteer receptionist

4) cleaning the warehouse 

Prayer Support: Please pray for increased vision and wisdom of NECF directors, ongoing community donations of food, staff and volunteer growth, and patrons to be supported in physical and spiritual needs.

CICIM Mission: CICIM collects donations of household items for redistribution, (working in conjunction with local social and non-profit agencies) to families in need of basic household furnishings.

Team: 8-10 people above the age of 12 (recommended for individuals capable of lifting furniture, driving truck/trailer, furniture assembly)

Serving Task: Our team will be divided into two groups. One group will drive a pick-up/delivery truck for donated furniture items.  The second group will assemble dresser kits.  

Ongoing Opportunities to Serve: Volunteer opportunities include truck driving and dresser assembly. 

Prayer Support: Please cover CICIM staff and volunteers in prayer.  Pray for strength to continue in the vision of reaching those in need with household furnishings and the love of Jesus.  

Dispatch Mission: To receive emergency calls, collect necessary information, dispatch and coordinate appropriate first responders, and remain “with” callers until help arrives.

Team: 4-10, all ages

Serving Task: Our team will deliver coffee, snacks, and encouragement cards to dispatch employees.  Possibly bless them by washing their cars.

Ongoing Opportunities to Serve: Dispatch employees are always in need of encouragement and appreciation.  Consider writing a card or stocking their kitchen with grab and go foods.

Prayer Support: Please pray that dispatchers would have the wisdom to make the right decisions with each new call.  Pray for their mental and emotional health; they are with people on the phone during the worst moments of life.  Pray that dispatchers would encounter the hope of Jesus despite encountering the darkness in this world daily.  

The Loft Mission: To make a positive difference in the lives of those needing short term rehab and long term nursing care. To provide a compassionate environment where residents can achieve their highest level of well being.

Team: 12-16 people, all ages

Serving Task: Our team will be divided into two groups.  Each group sing songs and play simple games with nursing home residents in a common room. 

Ongoing Opportunities to Serve: Residents always appreciate visits and conversation over games and puzzles.  

Prayer Support: Please pray for residents to receive quality care and increased visitor; may suffer from loneliness while in nursing care.  Pray for The Loft to find and maintain excellent staff with compassion to care for the elderly.

WCYA Mission: To serve at risk youth and families through a wide range of strength based, trauma informed services.  We believe that children best develop into productive adults in a supportive, physically, and emotionally safe permanent home, and that family represents a most desirable home environment.  Our professional services facilitate family preservation and self-sufficiency.

Team: 6-10 people, all ages

Serving Task: Our team will be divided into two groups.  Group one will clean two family meeting rooms and toys.  Group two will help organize clothing room by sorting freshly laundered donations into size appropriate bins.  Teams will also deliver treat baskets to counselor desks.

Ongoing Opportunities to Serve: 

  1. Donate diapers/underwear in Sweet Cases at LIFE.
  2. Volunteer for ongoing organization of clothing room
  3. Assist in annual Foster Parent Appreciation dinner
  4. Become a foster parent 

Prayer Support: Please pray that the physical, emotional, amd spiritual needs of children be met in their foster homes.  Pray strength and wisdom for foster families, biological families, counselors, and advocates.  Pray for an increase of healthy foster homes.

Ongoing Opportunities to Serve: Our local schools are always looking for volunteers to help run events and programs throughout the calendar year.  Inquiring with a school’s PTA/PTO, Booster club, or student organizations is an great place to start.  

Prayer Support: Please pray for local schools!

  2. Teachers and staff to have grace and patience
  3. Students to have compassion and love for one another
  4. Physical safety on school campuses
  5. The love of Jesus will move throughout our schools



Mission: AO CUSD #1 will demonstrate pride, lifelong learning, and academic excellence throughout the community.  AO seeks to inspire success while building dreams.   

Team: 6-10 people, all ages. Requires some physical labor.

Serving Task: Our team will assisting in gardening and landscaping tasks around WL campus.

Ongoing Opportunities to Serve: Our local schools are always looking for volunteers to help run events and programs throughout the calendar year.  Inquiring with a school’s PTA/PTO, Booster club, or student organizations is an great place to start.

Mission: To provide healthcare services and ongoing care/resource for local veterans and their families.

Team: 6-10 people, all ages.

Serving Task: Our team will cook/serve picnic lunch and play yard games for veterans and their families.  

Ongoing Opportunities to Serve:

The local clinic is in need of individuals willing to drive local vets to the VA hospital in Danville.  Clinic vehicle provided.

Prayer Support: 

  1. Administrators to make wise and Godly decisions
  2. Staff to have grace and patience
  3. Veterans to receive care and support they need
  4. Veterans to know the love of Jesus
  5. Individuals to volunteer to drive to Danville hospital

Mission: To provide a safe refuge from the streets. Oasis is a drop-in facility offering access to support services (bathroom/shower, mail, computer, laundry) 365 days a year.

Team: 6-10 people

Serving Task: Our team will be divided into two groups.  Group one will build outdoor shaded area.  Group two will dismantle and remove deteriorating, above ground garden boxes.

Ongoing Opportunities to Serve: 

  1. Donate toiletry items and bathroom linens
  2. Provide sacks lunches to pick up for evening meal

Prayer Support: Please pray that the physical, emotional, amd spiritual needs of the home insecure in Macon County be met.  Pray for those employed at Oasis to have wisdom and strength as they care for all who walk through their door.  Pray for the ongoing provision of finances needed to meet community needs.

Media Team: 3-5 people, adults only (should be familiar with photography and able to drive)  Serving Task: Our team will be divided. One member will stay at the church to receive and upload iphone photos as they are sent from all team locations.  Iphone photos will be used to create a presentation at the lunch celebration.  Other team members will drive to multiple locations to take photographs for later presentation to church family.

Prayer Team: unlimited, all ages Serving Task: Our team will remain at the church to declare the Word and cover in prayer all those involved in ALL CALL (team members and individuals encountered in the community).

Celebration Meal Team: 4 people  Serving Task: Our team will prepare/serve/clean up lunch for ALL CALL celebration and debrief

Childcare Team: 3-4 people with completed background checks Serving task: Our team will care for children ages birth through Kindergarten while older families serve outside the church.
